Tony Gunawan and Howard Bach route to the Quarter Finals at YONEX-SUNRISE BWF World Championship 2009

U.S. Yonex contract player are back at it again. Reaching the quarter finals in YONEX-SUNRISE BWF World Championship 2009 has not been a easy ride. En route to the quarter finals Gunawan and Bach had to face top seeded players from Malaysia Tan Fook Choong/ Wan Wah Lee, and the U.S. dual were able to come out with a exciting and close victory 21-15, 18-21, 23-21. Gunawan and Bach on the first round showed up strong. With this victory the momentum started to push in their favor, and helped them come out strong with another victory over the rising stars from Japan, Shintaro Ikeda/ Shuichi Sakamoto 21-12, 21-9. In the 3rd round Gunawan and Bach encountered another top seeded team from Denmark, Mathlas Boe/ Carsten Mogensen 21-18, 21-18.

Next up will be number 2 seed in the world from Malaysia Kien Keat Koo/ Boon Heong Tan.
