Denis Shapovalov (CAN)

  • Denis Shapovalov

Exploding onto the tennis scene last summer after switching to the VCORE SV, Denis Shapovalov is the youngest player in the ATP Top 100. Named the ATP’s Most Improved Player in 2017, Shapovalov made the semifinals of two Masters 1000 events and reached the fourth round at the US Open.

The 19-year-old became the highest ranked Canadian this past May, as well as the youngest player to enter the ATP Top 30 since 2005. His risky, but crafty style caught the eye of world No. 1 Roger Federer who said, “I like people who go for (their shots) and have a positive demeanor about themselves. I’m a big fan of his and I’m sure we are going to see a lot more of Denis in the future.”
